My Review
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Grace has been working hard to be good at a job she loves. As a female bounty hunter, she has had to struggle twice has hard to be taken half as seriously as most of the men in her profession. She has proven herself over the years, and is finally given a huge case with a large reward. Raide Knox is wanted for assault and murder. He is also the sexy man Grace had a run-in with at a club the previous evening. Grace knows that she can bring him in and establish her position in her agency. Of course, things aren't always what they seem and Grace finds that Raide is causing her to experience feelings beyond attraction. He is also putting her whole career in jeopardy.
Grace is an easy character to like and cheer on. She's tough and cares a lot about her job, but it is clear that she has had to fight for a lot in her life. I loved her relationships with her father, but her mother and sisters were a bit over the top in the villain department at times. The dilemmas Grace faced throughout the story were challenging and it wasn't clear how she was going to make her way through any of it. Raide was an interesting character, and my one wish is that we got to know him on a little deeper level. That said, he is a very sexy man who definitely endeared himself to me as the story went on. The chemistry between Grace and Raide was very hot, and watching the two of them find something in the other that they needed was rewarding. This story was exciting and kept me engaged throughout. I have read and enjoyed other books by this author in the past, and I will most definitely read more of her work in the future.
