Shayne McClendon is quickly becoming an author that I love. She writes incredibly erotic books, that also have a lot of heart. In this book we meet Brooke Kincaid is a talented musician, who at 17 years old is running her family farm and raising her younger siblings. Her talent gets recognized and her life takes a turn she never could have anticipated. She becomes a member of an incredibly successful country band and her talents only propel them into higher levels of stardom.

This book spans enough time that we get to really see Brooke (who started out mature beyond her years) grow into the woman she is meant to be. She's honest, hard-working, and selfless, all qualities she manages to maintain even in the face of her new found fame. Brooke is surrounded by am amazing cast of characters including her siblings, her friends, and the men who come to be an integral part of her life. While there is definitely a good amount of the story devoted to the hot stuff (thank goodness) this book will also take you through some pretty high emotional highs and low lows. It's hard not to be completely invested in all of these characters, even the ones who sometimes make bad decisions. Each person is unique and brings their own talents to the table. It is nice seeing everyone grow and evolve and create a wonderful family for one another. This review probably doesn't give a clear enough picture of just how hot the sexy stuff is, so I'll emphasize it now. There is some seriously sexy stuff in here. I had a visceral reaction to the vivid imagery provided during some of the scenes, and loved it all. There were times where certain characters or situations were a little over the top, but I don't care. This is a story that fans of erotic fiction who want some substance with their sexy can really latch onto.
