SYNOPSIS:
There are three things you need to know about
Sandra Fielding: 1) She makes all her first dates cry, 2) She hasn't been
kissed in over two years, and 3) She knows how to knit.
Sandra has difficulty removing her psychotherapist hat. Of her last 30 dates, 29 have ended the same way: the man sobbing uncontrollably. After one such disaster, Sandra--near desperation and maybe a little tipsy--gives in to a seemingly harmless encounter with her hot waiter, Alex. Argumentative, secretive, and hostile Alex may be the opposite of everything Sandra knows is right for her. But now, the girl who has spent all her life helping others change for the better, must find a way to cope with falling for someone who refuses to change at all.

My Review: 4 stars!
I adored Sandra. She is smart, kind, and hilarious. She isn't afraid to let her geek flag fly or indulge in things that bring her joy. She has a great group of friends who are very supportive of one another. It was nice to see her start giving herself what she needs instead of always giving to others. Alex is a seriously complex character. He is hot and intelligent, but being in a relationship with him involves complexities and has certain requirements that are very challenging. I loved that his character was so unique and unexpected. I also loved that Sandra could appreciate his strangeness and embrace how he accepted the strange aspects of her. These two definitely had relationship challenges that most people don't have to face, but I loved watching them give themselves a chance to try. Their physical chemistry was smoking hot and the sexy parts of the book were way sexy. I enjoyed this book a lot and will be seeking out more in this series and more by this author.

[Next came my socks. I ventured a bit further and pulled off my sweater and shirt, then my pants. I draped them over the back of my comfy chair and heard a stifled choke from behind me.
Alex stood at the precipice to the room, his gaze on my bare legs and back. I glanced at my plain purple cotton bra and underwear. They were just as modest, if not more so, as a bathing suit. I turned toward him with a question on the tip of my tongue and he flinched. He then averted his eyes and looked everywhere but at me.
I frowned, not prepared for his overreaction, and tried to think of something to make the moment less uncomfortable. “Um… Do you want something to drink?”
“I was promised hot chocolate.” His voice was strained.
“Okay, I’ll start the water.”
He studied my bulletin board. “You’re not going to get dressed first?”
I shrugged. “I guess I could.”
His gaze abruptly met mine. “You should.”
The heat in his eyes surprised me. And then I laughed. If old cotton underwear could get him this worked up, I should have tried it two weeks ago.
“What’s the matter, Mr. Bond?” I posed against the chair, deepened my voice, raised an eyebrow, “Are you afraid for my health and safety? Concerned I’ll catch a cold?”
Holding my gaze, Alex peeled off his jacket and boots. His long sleeve shirt followed, leaving him bare chested. I dug my nails into the palms of my hands to keep my eyes from straying.
“Keeping your pants on?”
“I have nothing under these pants.”
Oh… ideenentgleisung!
My eyes widened. I couldn’t help it. What was I thinking about? I completely lost my thought.
“Ah.” I nodded, took a tentative step toward him, trying to remember what happened right before he told me about his commando status. “I see.”
“What now?” He asked.
I wanted to say, Now the pants!]
SEX! It all started with sex, between my
parents. Personally I don’t like thinking about it, but whatever works for you
is a-ok with me. No judgment. The sex happened in California and much of my
life also occurred in that state until I moved from the land of nuts (almonds),
wine, silicon… boobs, and heavy traffic to the southeast US. Like most writers
I like to write, but let’s get back to sex. Eventually I married and gave birth
to 2 small people-children (boy-6, girl-4 as of this writing).
By day I’m a biomedical researcher with focus
on rare diseases. By night I’m a knitter, sewer, lino block carver, fabric
printer, soap maker, and general crafter. By the wee hours of the morning or
when I’m intoxicated I love to listen to the voices in my head and let them
tell me stories. I hope you enjoy their stories.

Finding Autumn by Beth Michele- Release Blitz
Author: Beth Michele
Genre: Adult Contemporary Romance Novella
Release Date: March 27, 2014
My name is Autumn Winters.
The truth is, that's the biggest lie I've ever told.
My real name is Olivia Redmund. Autumn Winters is the curtain I hide behind. You see, I write bestselling erotic romance novels. But my life is far from erotic. The only fantasy exists in my head.
The day I met Hunter Grayson, that all changed. A handsome stranger on a train who turned my world upside down, made me think and feel things I never knew were possible.
But he's hiding, too.
What happens when I slowly realize that who I truly am is more similar to who I'm pretending to be? I want to be brave enough to tell the world, but the fear is crippling.
Fear of myself. Fear of the unknown. Fear of what others will think.
But life is too short to be afraid.
And I'm so damn tired of hiding.
**This is an Adult Contemporary Romance and due to strong language and sexual content, is not intended for readers under the age of 18.**
Excerpt
“Shit,” I mumble to myself when I spy the pink vibrator, glaring proof of my non-existent sex life now on public display. “God damn it,” I utter again, shaking my head and scrambling to grab it, when I notice a pair of beautiful, masculine hands scooping up my belongings. Completely mortified, my cheeks flush a deep red, and I’m silently praying he hasn’t spotted my favorite sex toy.
My eyes make their way from the ground, climbing past the hands and up the length of strong, muscular arms to an absolutely gorgeous face, and I take a hard swallow. A chiseled jaw with a hint of stubble, irises the color of aged brandy, a sharp, sculptured nose, and perfectly tousled hair that matches his hypnotic eyes. I don’t realize that I’m staring until his lips quirk up into a grin.
Could I be any more obvious?
He tosses the items back in my purse and nods toward the vibrator. “I’ll let you handle that one,” he offers, his voice a rich timbre to my ears. “Although,” he whispers, leaning in close, “I’m sure I could put it to good use.”
My mouth drops open in surprise, just as he reaches his thumb out to skim my bottom lip.
“I’m pretty sure I could put this sexy mouth to good use, too.”

With This Heart by R.S.Grey- Release Day Blitz and Book Review!
Title: With This Heart
Author: R.S. Grey
Release Date: March 27, 2014
Genre: New Adult Romance
Synopsis
If someone had told me a year ago that I was about to fall in love, go on an epic road trip, ride a Triceratops, sing on a bar, and lose my virginity, I would have assumed they were on drugs.
Well, that is, until I met Beckham.
Beck was mostly to blame for my recklessness. Gorgeous, clever, undeniably charming Beck barreled into my life as if it were his mission to make sure I never took living for granted. He showed me that there were no boundaries, rules were for the spineless, and a kiss was supposed to happen when I least expected.
Beck was the plot twist that took me by surprise. Two months before I met him, death was knocking at my door. I’d all but given up my last scrap of hope when suddenly, I was given a second chance at life. This time around, I wasn’t going to let it slip through my fingers.
We set out on a road trip with nothing to lose and no guarantees of tomorrow.
Our road trip was about young, reckless love. The kind of love that burns bright.
The kind of love that no road-map could bring me back from.
**Recommended for ages 17+ due to language and sexual situations.**
My Review:
With This Heart by R.S. GreyMy rating: 4 of 5 stars
Abby has not been able to have the same experiences as other girls her age because she wasn't expecting to be alive. She received a life-saving heart transplant, and is now facing the point in her life that others have generally had time to prepare for. Abby is facing the need and pressure to pick a path for her new adult life, when she meets Beckham. He is charming, funny, and spontaneous and somehow he and Abby end up together on a road trip she was planning for herself. She encounters places, experiences and feelings during her time with Beck that she never anticipated and that change her life.
This book is completely charming. Abby is wonderfuly endearing. She struggles with inexperience, but her honesty and willingness to try new things is wonderful to see through her eyes. Beck is pretty much perfect. besides being sexy and funny, he is thoughtful and kind. It is clear that together they are making each other extremely happy and despite some tragic events, and serious challenges, I was cheering them on the whole time. I loved that these characters were able to be funny and awkward with each other while also having an intense and smokin' hot chemistry with one another. Even though there are some over the top moments, they feel genuine because of these characters. I really enjoyed this book and would highly recommend it to someone looking for a charming and funny read, but with some serious emotions and steamy romance. I would gladly read more by this author in the future.

"I grabbed my first bag and opened my front door to find Beck standing a few feet outside. I took in his messy brown hair, white t-shirt, and dark jeans. Why did a white t-shirt look so good on him? Maybe because it was fitted enough to show off his toned body without being obnoxiously tight? I wasn’t quite sure.
He didn’t say anything at first. His hazel eyes scanned down my body, lingering a moment longer on my bare legs, and then he looked back up at me with a wide, perfectly straight smile.
“Is that all you’re bringing?” he asked, pointing at the smallest of my three bags.
“Hah! Yeah right, I have like ten times more stuff.”
He shook his head and narrowed his eyes on me playfully. “I like a girl with baggage, Abby Mae. Keeps things interesting.”
His comment was too much; it stripped away my normal sarcastic responses. I was left with nothing but the bag in my hand, so I tossed it at him. He had to think fast and catch it before it fell to the ground at his feet.
“Good. Help me load it up then,” I smirked, and then turned to collect the rest of my stuff.
“Don’t forget to go to the bathroom! We aren’t stopping until we’re out of hell!” he called behind me.
“You mean Dallas?” I asked over my shoulder.
“Exactly!”
******
I was sitting in the passenger seat in Beck’s old, yellow VW Camper. It had been renovated recently, so the inside was all new leather, but it still had a lot of the classic details.
Our stuff fit easily in the back and he wasn’t kidding about there being space to sleep. We’d have to be really close, but there was definitely room. My face reddened at the thought.
I wedged the urn between my feet so that it wouldn’t tip over, and then buckled my seat belt. When I looked up, Beck was watching me with a bemused smile. My hand instinctively slid over my side braid and my face. I didn’t feel anything out of the ordinary.
“What?” I asked.
He shook his head, but his grin never faltered. “Nothing. Just trying to remember this moment.”
I furrowed my brows in wonder and tilted my head. The sun shone through the windshield of the Camper, highlighting the green details in his eyes. Beck wasn’t movie-star good-looking; he was boy-next-door good-looking— the kind of guy that might not know the full extent of his effect on the female population.
“Why?” I asked.
“Because our lives will never be the same.”
A small dimple formed on the corner of his mouth before he turned toward the steering wheel and pulled out of my apartment complex.
That dimple was the first thing I told myself to remember about the road trip.
Just as we turned onto the entrance for the highway, I peered over at Beck. “Just so you know, my faith in humanity is dangling by a few threads. If you murder me, I’ll pretty much lose all hope.”
I couldn’t keep the hint of a smile from my lips.
He nodded. “And if you murder me?”
I shrugged. “That would just be a good plot twist.”

Uncovering You by Scarlett Edwards- Blog Tour and Review
Genre - Dark Romance
Release Date - March 27th, 2014
Cover Reveal - February 18th, 2014
When I wake up in a dark, unfamiliar room, I have no idea what's waiting for me in the shadows. My imagination conjures up demons of the worst kind.
Reality is much worse:
A collar with no leash. A prison with no walls. And a life stripped of meaning.
I am presented with a vile contract and asked to sign. It outlines the terms of my servitude. The only information I have about my captor are the two small letters inked at the bottom:
J.S.
Armed with only my memories, I must do everything I can to avoid becoming ensnared in his twisted mind games. But in the end, it all comes down to one choice:
Resist and die.
Or submit, and sign my life away.

“Lilly.”
Oh God. It’s him. There’s no mistaking that rich, masculine treble.
What’s he doing down here?
“M-Mr. Stonehart,” I stutter, turning. I curse my inability to hide my surprise. He totally caught me off-guard. I have to look up to meet his eyes. Then up some more.
The face that I find is so striking it should belong to a Greek god.
He’s younger than I expected. Late thirties, maybe early forties.
That means he started his company when he was younger than me!
Dark scruff lines his angular cheeks. His jet-black hair is styled in long, natural waves. My fingers itch to run through it.
Totally inappropriate.
He has a prominent nose that might be too big on a less imposing man, but on him, it’s perfect.
In short, he’s a package of the purest masculinity I’ve ever seen.
And then there are his eyes. Oh my God. His eyes. They pierce into me like honing missiles. They are the deepest black I have ever seen. They would be frightening if they weren’t so beautiful. When the light reflects a certain way, you catch a glimpse of the purple underneath.
They are like midnight sapphires. His eyes reveal a cunning intellect. Those eyes do not miss a thing.
Add all that to his towering height, his wide shoulders, his confident-yet-at-ease posture… and Stonehart cuts an intimidating figure.
My gaze darts to his left hand before I can stop it. No ring. He’s unmarried.
He looks down at me, expectantly. His eyes narrow ever so slightly, and I feel like I’m being dissected, measured up, and tucked away in some small corner of his brain. I imagine this is what a gemstone feels like under the magnifying class of the most critical appraiser.
Stonehart clears his throat. I come to with a start, realizing I haven’t said anything in ages. I open my mouth, but the capacity for speech seems like a foreign concept to my brain. “I—”
Somebody bumps into me from behind. I stagger forward. I’m not used to these shoes, so my heel steps the wrong way. My ankle twists under me, and I start to fall.
I don’t fall far. The hand still on my elbow tightens, and Stonehart pulls me into him.
I plaster myself onto the solid steel wall the man has for a body. I catch a scent of his cologne. It’s a deep, musky smell with a hint of charred spruce that is all male. It scrambles my thoughts even more.
“Sorry!” a rushed voice calls out. From the corner of my eye, I see the postman giving a hurried, apologetic wave.
Although the sequence lasts less than a second, it feels like an eternity. Pressed up against him like that, I don’t want to move. I know that I couldn’t have made a worse first impression.
Stonehart eases me off him with a firm yet gentle grip. Our eyes meet. I flush the most vibrant red. His fingers graze my forehead as he brushes a lock of hair out of my face.
Any tenderness I may have imagined vanishes when Stonehart takes out his cell. He long dials a key and growls an order. “Steven. See the delivery boy leaving right now? Have his building pass revoked.”
I gape. Stonehart keeps speaking. “Wait. I thought of one better. Bar his company from accessing the building.” There’s a pause. “For how long? Indefinitely. FedEx can talk to me when they have an improved employee selection program in place.”
The phone call gives me just enough time to compose myself. My heart’s still beating out of my chest. But nobody has to know that.
I speak without thinking. “You’re going to restrict the entire company from serving this building because of that?”
Stonehart humors me with an answer. “A company’s employees are its most important asset. Their behavior reflects the organization as a whole. If FedEx decided that clown is good enough for them, it tells me they’re sloppy. I do not do business with sloppy organizations.”
“What about the other tenants in the building?” I ask. “Won’t that piss them off?”
When I hear myself and realize how improper my question is, my cheeks flame red again.
Stonehart’s eyes darken, as if he cannot believe I asked that question. I open my mouth to apologize for my imprudence, hating the way my professional skills have evaporated into thin air. I’m cut off by a short, barked laugh.
“Miss Ryder.” He sounds amused. “I believe that is the most direct and honest question anybody has dared ask me in weeks.” He takes my elbow again and leads me to the elevators. I have to take two quick steps to match one of his long strides.
“Yes,” he continues. “They will be ‘pissed off.’ But the perk of owning a building—” he hits the elevator call button, “—is that you get to make executive decisions.” He gives me an unreadable glance as the doors open. “That is, at the risk of being questioned by inexperienced interns.”
If that isn’t a loaded remark, I don’t know what is. I flush scarlet red for the third time since I’ve met him. I’ve never had a man throw me so off balance.
The elevator is packed, for which I’m infinitely thankful. The trip up will give me some time to properlycompose myself.
Gratitude turns to panic when the crowd files out, meek as mice, when Stonehart steps in. None of the people waiting in the lobby follow us.
The doors close. I’m alone in here with him. My heart’s beating as fast as a hummingbird’s wings.
He catches me staring. “Impressed?” he asks.
“They know you,” I manage.
His dark eyes flash with amusement. “Astute.”

Lilly wakes up in complete darkness and struggles to make sense of her surroundings and how she got where she is. She comes to learn some information about her current situation, which is terrifying. She searches her memories to try and figure out how she ended up in the situation she is in.
This book takes us back and forth through Lilly's past and present and although the pieces do start to fall into place, the information we are left with is of little comfort to Lilly (or us the reader). This book isn't long and hooked me immediately. The way it ends ensures that I will be seeking out the next in the series to find out where the story goes from here. This story is intriguing and exciting. I love how smart Lilly is and look forward to seeing how she manages the incredible challenges that are inevitably in her future.
