Electrified by Rachel Blaufeld- Review!

My Review:
Electrified (Book #1 of The Electric Tunnel series)Electrified by Rachel Blaufeld
My rating: 3.5 of 5 stars

Sienna Flower is a well-known stripper in Las Vegas who mesmerizes nearly all who watch her dance. She has incredibly sexy dance moves coupled with an innocent look in her eyes. Her best friend Asher is one of the only people who knows some of the terrible things she ran away from and who she used to be. Her secret is well-kept and she plans to make sure it stays that way. Sienna never expects to be attracted to a patron of her club, but when Carson Graham starts coming to watch her dance every weekend she begins to feel attracted to someone for the first time. Carson is an ex-FBI agent who is not into relationships, but finds himself attracted to the amazing Sienna Flower for reasons he doesn't understand. They begin to explore their intense attraction to one another when Sienna's past starts to come back to haunt her. Sienna and Carson find their situations intertwined in a strange way, and things start to get really complicated and dangerous.

Sienna is a great character. While some of her success is a little implausible, the story of what she overcame and how is very interesting and inspiring. It is great to see her find a support system in her Vegas family and know that there are people who will protect her and encourage her happiness. Carson is a pretty swell character as well. Sexy, and kind. Even during his time of no-strings-attached sex, he is not out to deceive or mislead anyone and specifically avoids situations where someone may be hurt. Watching the way he makes Sienna feel safe to explore her sexual desires and begin to open up to someone was really rewarding. The dialogue was a little choppy at times, but overall the story was intriguing and held my interest throughout. I would read more by this author in the future and will likely continue on with this series.
