Synopsis
Grey and Stefan knew from the moment they met that they were destined for one another. Despite the none-too-quiet protests from his family they married straight out of high school. Their love was strong and only grew when a year later they welcomed their baby girl into the world. Life was perfect…until one night changed everything. A horrendous accident destroyed them; stripping them of everything they knew, taking away their happiness and their daughter. While mourning the loss of their little girl they were also suffering the loss of each other. Stefan blamed himself for their daughter’s death, drowning away the guilt in liquor. Grey had never been so alone. Stefan had died inside the day their child did. Doing the only thing she could to save herself, she ended their marriage. ********* Six Years Later Stefan Harrison is the most eligible bachelor with a wallet and company that continues to grow. Every night he has a different woman on his arm with the next not far behind. Grey Desmond is the lead stylist and co-owner of a reputable salon with the perfect fiancé and a beautiful wedding in her future. But one chance meeting between Grey and Stefan is all that is needed to reawaken the feelings from the past. She tries to avoid him but he won’t let her. Losing Grey was Stefan’s biggest mistake and he won’t stop until he wins her back. But Grey doesn’t know if she could ever trust him again. Leaving her heart to decide between the perfect future…or the past she never let go.

My Review:
A Broken ForeverA Broken Forever by Megan Noelle
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Grey and Stefan fell in love fast and got married right out of high school. They had a beautiful daughter and their happy family was complete. Until one night when a tragic accident took their daughter from them and caused Stefan to detach from everything and lose himself in alcohol to cope. Grey didn't have the support she needed when she needed it most and filed for divorce.

Seven years later Grey has become the co-owner of a successful salon and is engaged to a wonderful loving man. Stefan is the incredibly successful of a huge company and is a notoriously eligible bachelor. They come face to face with one another randomly and their meeting re-opens some strong emotions that neither have fully dealt with. It is obvious that they still share love for one another, but Grey is hesitant to trust the man who broke her heart those years ago, and let go of what is sure to be a more stable and consistent relationship with her fiance, Richard.

This plot of this book was great, but I found the execution a little choppy at times. I felt a lot of potential of what this book could be, but had a difficult time connecting with and investing in these characters. I had a hard time getting over the fact that Grey hadn't shared even basic parts of her past with her best friends and fiance. The enormity of the secrets she was keeping made it hard for me to believe that she had any kind of real relationship with her fiance or best friends. It also boggled my mind that Grey's mother, brother, etc. would have never spoken of her past either and would expect that this was all something that Richard didn't need to know about. The struggles she had in reconciling her past were understandable as were the conflicting feelings about whether she could trust Stefan again. I really did hope that she and Stefan would find a way back together as well as a way to heal from their traumatic past. The tension and chemistry between Grey and Stefan was intense and did make me hope for the best for them. Despite my inability to fully connect with these characters, I was still interested in how their story would play out.

Excerpt
The same eyes from the tabloid were a mere twenty feet from me. Without a single doubt in my mind I was staring directly at the man I had been desperate to forget. Standing with a foot on the street and the other half of his body still in the car, his eyes were undoubtedly locked on me. Shock settled into his features, leaving his lips open enough for a tense breath to escape while his fingers curled around the top of the door. His hair was styled up in the front with the sides cut a little shorter, and I wanted nothing but to wrap my fingers through his thick locks. It didn’t make sense why he was here right now or why he was standing half way out of a car staring at me, but I didn’t care. In this moment I wanted nothing more than to run to him. Throw my arms around him, smack him, hug him, feel his hair and his chest. “Grey…walk!” someone yelled behind me. My legs began walking across the street, but my eyes were locked on Stefan. I was unable to blink as if my life depended on it. “Grey!” I heard again. The sound of another horn approaching made my body jump and my eyes lock onto an oncoming car. I looked just in time to jump backwards to avoid the vehicle. In my jump I landed half on the curb, causing my ankle to twist in pain and my body to fall backwards. The last thing I remember was Stefan fading from view and my head hitting the ground before everything went black.

I am Megan Noelle! I have been writing for many years and currently have two books out that are part of a series. My For You series were the first novels I published but I had to stop everything to write Stefan and Grey’s story in, A Broken Forever. I have been writing since I was old enough to hold a pen and finally pursued my dream of becoming a novelist. Writing is my passion and I am all for following one’s passions! One of my other passions is being a mom of my adorable daughter Peyton. When I’m not writing I’m a stay at home mom and a full time student. I’m getting close to finishing my 2-year degree and I am more than ready for a break. There are many things I want to do in life, but if I can write, be with my daughter and my family—I will be happy!

5 *NEW* Random Things You Don’t Know About Me!
  1. I have recently retired my love for Diet Coke and focused solely on Diet Pepsi. And yes, I know all about aspartame, and all that bad stuff. But, it’s delicious.
  2. I would someday love to write a book that Tim Burton wants to make into a movie!
  3. I have an unfailing love for many movies I watched growing up (not just Disney) and it is very difficult for me to like anything new. Some of my favorites set the bar too high apparently! (When Harry Met Sally, My Best Friend’s Wedding, Father of the Bride Part I & II, & many more!)
  1. I have a horrible wonderful addiction to book covers!
  2. I have more story ideas in my head than I will ever be able to write.
