Michael Gallo has been working undercover for the DEA infiltrating a motorcycle club. He has put in years and risen among the ranks in the MC and feels that he has lost some of his soul in the process. He is ready to get out and return to his family, which he plans to do now that there is enough information for the DEA and FBI to come in and make arrests. Roxanne was born into the MC life, but it isn't the life she wants. What she wants more than anything is a real family. Roxy and Michael have been involved throughout Michael's time with the MC. She doesn't know who he really is, and he doesn't think he can leave her behind when he leaves.
I really like this series, and I've been waiting to find out more about Michael. The level of passion and chemistry between Michael and Roxy is undeniable, but I would have liked to get to know them both a little deeper. I felt like I knew Michael a bit already from Izzy's story, but I didn't get in as deep with Roxy as I would have liked. Their situation was really unique and the element of danger involved in their continuing their relationship spoke to just how important they were to one another. Roxy was a sweet person, but I felt like there was a lot more to her and I would really like to know her better. One thing I enjoyed about this book was reconnecting with the characters I love from previous books. Seeing the evolutions of their relationships was wonderful and seeing the whole family interact was endearing as usual. I think the author did a great job of setting us up for Anthony's story. I'm really eager to find out more about his situation. 3.5 stars.
