My Review
Remembering Everly by J.L. Berg
My rating: 3.5 of 5 stars
This book picks up where Forgetting August leaves us. This is a series that really does need to be read in order, so Remembering Everly should not be read without first reading Forgetting August.
I don't want to give away any spoilers, so I won't be talking much about the plot. There is still a lot of confusion as Everly tries to sort out her real feelings and decide what she needs to do for herself and the people she cares about. Watching Everly take the time to get to know herself and what she wanted to do with her life was rewarding even though it was difficult to see her go through a lot of emotional pain to get there. In this book we get a lot more information about August and what the whole situation before and after his coma entailed. These were characters I came to care about and I was hoping that they would be able to find their way through what seemed like an impossible set of challenges. Seeing other people rally around them and support them was really endearing. I would recommend this series, and if you've read the first in the series there is no way you won't be picking this one up as soon as you are finished. I found the conclusion very satisfying and I would read more by this author in the future. 3.5 stars.
