Now available! IGNITION (The Redline Series, 1) Skye Callahan
When you’re this close to the redline, there’s no room for error —or second chances. A sought after car thief for hire, Colt will do anything for a high—anything for the deafening rush of blood and chemicals that tames the ongoing anarchy in his mind. Fast cars, pain, alcohol, women… his vices come in many flavors, but one woman tempts him closer to the line he can never come back from. She’ll be his hardest theft yet—an action that will set the looming conflict with his brother on a new and violent path. Aubrey has two choices. The first she knows too well: the alluring businessman who entwined her in his deceptive plots. The second is a stranger. He makes his promises not with a silver tongue but with harsh, blunt observations that Aubrey can’t ignore. Either way, she’s caught between two brothers each seeking the other’s downfall—and neither has a problem taking her down in the process

My Review
Ignition by Skye Callahan
My rating: 3.5 of 5 stars
Aubrey has fallen in with the wrong person. She finds herself owing more than she can ever pay back and the person she owes will make sure that she never does. She is being forced to work in a seedy strip club but whenever she starts to pay down her debt something else will happen to keep her in trouble. Aubrey gets an offer from Colt, a car thief and former drug addict who is also the brother of the man she owes. He will pay her entire debt in six months and get her away from his brother, but for those six months she is his.
I found this story engaging pretty quickly, and was curious to see what choice Aubrey would make and what would happen next. It was clear that she was not safe at the strip club, in fact most of the women there weren't safe. Colt seemed like he was the less of two evils, but still not entirely safe. Things really started getting exciting just as the story ended. So now I'll need to wait for the next book in the series, which I'm excited to read.
