My Review

Wait For Me

My rating: 3.5 of 5 stars

Susannah is an FBI agent who on her first assignment has been working on a serious sex trafficking case where she is close to taking down a very dangerous operation. Betrayal from within the organization has put her in a position where someone she cares deeply about her has been taken forced to serve as a sex slave for the leader of the trafficking operation. Nearly a year later, Susannah with help from some powerful friends is able to rescue and reunite with the person she loves only to wonder whether he can be brought back from the trauma and depravation he has experienced. Also, the traffickers they rescued him from are out for serious revenge.

This book was easy to read straight through. It is an odd combination of really dark and really "fluffy", but the back and forth between good and evil made for an interesting read. I liked that the author(s) made a pretty clear distinction between consensual D/s arrangements, and sexual slavery and rape. These characters suffered situations that i think few would be able to survive. Seeing their strong sense of friendship and family help pull them through was really endearing. Susannah is a character who is easy to empathize with even as she struggles with a lot of tough issues. Jasper is pretty amazing, and I really liked seeing all the different dynamics of the various situations and relationships he went through. The different sexual dynamics of all the main characters provided a happy tone even after some really disturbing situations. Dante, Travis, Malachi, and Megan each brought something different to their own relationships and the group.

In addition to the relationship story lines, there was a lot of mystery, action, and suspense in this book that added a lot to the story and kept things moving forward. I pretty much read this straight through once I started, and would not hesitate to read more by this author(s) in the future.

Meet the Authors
BJ Grinder was born and raised in a small Tennessee town.  She is the single mother of four children, three dogs and three frogs.  She enjoys hiking, reading, and, of course, writing. With a life this busy, sometimes a girl needs to escape into the fantasy land offered by books.

TS McKinney lives in East Tennessee with her high school sweetheart/husband and all the countless dogs she picks up from deserted country roads.  Her professional career has been in business but her heart has always belonged to the fantasy world found in books.  Creating wicked worlds where one can meet the perfect hero - and then do anything to him that you want - has been a hobby that has brought her plenty of hours of fun and naughty entertainment.  When not working, reading, or writing, she loves to spend time with her family and forcing them (because they don't really have a choice) to allow her redecorate their houses...and listen to her naughty...sometimes sadistic stories.
